Gas Piping for Your Home or Project

Adding a gas appliance is not just a matter of running a pipe from point A to point B. The line has to be sized for the load, routed safely, connected correctly, tested, and installed to the code that applies where you live.
Kilgore Heating and Air provides licensed gas-piping work for homes and light-commercial projects across our service area. We handle the HVAC side and the fuel side together, which keeps a furnace, tankless water heater, range, or outdoor kitchen project from turning into a relay race between several contractors.
What we install
We install and modify gas piping for:
- Gas furnaces and dual-fuel systems
- Tankless water heaters
- Gas ranges and cooktops
- Outdoor grills and kitchens
- Gas logs and other approved gas appliances
- New construction, additions, and equipment replacements
Whether you use natural gas or propane, the pipe size matters. Each appliance adds demand. A line that is too small can leave equipment short on fuel, especially when more than one appliance runs at once. The answer is not to hope it works. We size the system for the equipment you have and the work you are planning.
Safety is the whole job
Gas work deserves a careful approach. We follow applicable code requirements, use proper materials and fittings, provide shutoffs where needed, and pressure-test the piping before it is put into service. We also look at appliance venting and combustion air when the job involves a furnace or water heater.
If you smell rotten eggs or suspect a gas leak, leave the area and contact your gas utility or emergency services first. Do not try to find the leak yourself. Once the immediate situation is safe, we can help with the repair or replacement work.
One contractor who sees the full picture
A new high-efficiency gas furnace may need a new gas line size, venting changes, and ductwork adjustments. A tankless water heater may change the load on the existing line. An outdoor grill run needs a safe route and an accessible shutoff. We look at those pieces before the job starts, not after an installer discovers the old line will not support the new appliance.
We will also be plain with you when a project does not make sense. Not every home needs gas. Not every gas line needs to be replaced. You get a recommendation based on the equipment, the existing setup, and what you are trying to do.
