HVAC Services in Chattanooga, TN
Chattanooga has no shortage of HVAC company names on a search page. We are not trying to be the biggest one. Kilgore Heating and Air is the family-owned alternative for Chattanooga homeowners who would rather talk to a specialist than a call-center dispatcher.
We are based in Whitwell, about 30 minutes from Chattanooga depending on where you are and traffic. That is close enough to serve the city, but far enough away that we have not turned into a big-chain operation. When you call (423) 637-1846, Sheddie Kilgore usually answers the phone. You can explain what is happening to someone who understands the work.
Chattanooga homes range from older houses near established neighborhoods to renovated properties, hillside homes, new construction, and apartments over shops. The Tennessee River and Lookout Mountain are part of the landscape, and the elevation changes, additions, crawlspaces, attics, and mixed-age housing keep HVAC work interesting. We see hot upstairs rooms, weak return air, aging ductwork, damp basements, systems that are too large, and new builds that need a real design instead of a rough guess.
What we do in Chattanooga
- AC repair, installation, and replacement
- Heating repair, installation, and replacement
- Ductless mini-split systems
- Ductwork design, installation, repair, and testing
- Commercial and light-commercial HVAC
- HVAC maintenance
- Foam-insulated home HVAC
- In-house metal fabrication
- Gas piping
- Tankless water heaters
- HVAC zoning systems
- Whole-home dehumidifiers
We work on regular HVAC calls, but we are also a good fit when the job needs more thought. A foam-insulated house needs a Manual J calculation and the right combustion plan. A stubborn comfort problem may be a duct issue, not a new-equipment issue. A custom renovation may need a plenum or transition made to fit. Those are the jobs many big operations hand off or rush through.
You will not get scare tactics from us. If a repair is the sensible move, we will say so. If replacement is the better long-term call, we will explain why in plain language.
For Chattanooga HVAC service that stays personal, call Kilgore Heating and Air at (423) 637-1846. We will tell you whether the trip makes sense for your project and get a plan started.
